Open Diff problem?

this morning before i got aff the freeway i started hearing a humming noise comming from the rear passenger side, so i pulled over and checked it out, nothing looked out of place, so when i got home i jacked my car up and checked if it was my bearings but nope. I spun the wheel and only one wheels spins i have an s14 with open diff by the way, i did it on the other side and no opposite spin either. is my open diff broken?

nope. Normally for me, if i spin the wheel, only one side would rotate, the side im spinning. Maybe its just me, but that always lets me know i need LSD. Go with welded diff! Cheap upgrade.

thanks i guess it's normal, now does anyone know why my car is making a humming noise?

could be anything...maybe bad throwout bearing?
