I was driving home from work when all of a sudden, the CEL came on out of nowhere. I then drove to Autozone to see what the code is, and it turned out to be P0705 - Trans Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction. Now, what exactly is that? Should I even be worried about it at all? If it has something to do with the transmission, I don't see it currently affecting my transmission, since it shifts fine and doesn't clunk and all, and the engine doesn't sputter like my Stanza does everytime a CEL comes on. I'm perplexed here

just checked the FSM, basically it's the ECU didn't detect a change in P/N position during starting and driving
it's nothing to worry about

That's what I was thinking.

I just have horrid memories from the KA24E days in the Stanza when the CEL pops up, since that's when it sputters like hell making it difficult to drive haha

Mine came on and threw the same code, did the manual reset, solved the problem.

How do you do the manual reset? Do you disconnect the negative battery terminal for 30 secs to erase all the codes from the ECU?
