What are the differences between KA24E's

Between the 89-90 240sx KA24E and the 90-95 KA24E Nissan hardbody?

I did some searching on here but couldn't come up with anything. Also tried Google but could find a despcription or pictures of the KA24E in the hardbody's

Intakes the same? Exhaust manifold the same?

I think some truck didn't come with power steering

the 90 had an air intake temp sensor and the 89 did not.

so the KA24E in the hardbody has different cam specs then the KA24E in the 240sx?

obviously not better specs since, atleast I don't, hear about people using the hardbody's cams for more performence

get a z24 block man and use a z18et head setup........im pretty shure u can bolt it up to ka tranny, if ur confused about this then use a ka24e block and bolt on the z18et head and turbo setup... not to many ppl know this.. just some of the 510 guys do...

I just wanted to know if and what the differences between the two engines are.

like could I bolt up a Doug Thorley made for a hardbody pickup into my 240sx? I think the only difference is the body/engine bay style is different allowing more room on the hardbody to bolt up that header.

but I don't know, thats why i'm asking

doesnt really matter probably minor differences.. do it... still if u wanna go turbo the easy way i just told u one way..... if u want the extra hp

sorry to be a little off topic, but since we're talking about the hardbodies, were there ever SR swaps done on em?

I have heard of atleast one.

But I don't know what was done to make it fit (like custom mounts and such).

ive seen one..... didnt ask cause i didnt really care....probably had to beat the firewall back and expand the tunnel.. who knows try it ...

sounds cool considering they can be rediculously light with cf beds and whatnot. i think i'm gonna look more into this stuff.

ok the only things i know of tht are different are, the cams and the intake manifold. the intake is a feul injrcted throttle body(carb style) with big round air filter like old small and big block domestic motors

the trucks ave dished lower compression pistons, where ka24e 240sx's have flat top, and the trucks lack the bronze bushings on the rod ends, my friend races a nissan d21 witha ka24e and he saw my 240 rods and asked who bushed them cause he had to have his truck rods bushed cause they didnt ahve them stock, i looke dthe up and they have didfernt part numbers, and he had to get pistosn froma 240sx to raise his comp up from 8.?:1 to 9:1
