Let's find out who really loves their car hehe

I actually enjoy washing my car, going along those nice curves of it's sexy body with a soapy $15 towel.... Ahem. Sorry, got carried away there

My car gets a nice soft cloth home wash with all mcguires products. My stepdad's old truck with vinyl seats and rubber floors (and you can ask Jeff240sx about this) got run through the 3.00 gas station car wash with the doors and back window open and the tailgate down. (easiest cleaning/garbage removal in history)

being a detailer for the past 5 years i feel its my obligation to say..........

all of you who run your car through a carwash can go to hell

actually, without the carwash people around to mess up their paint, i wouldn't have a job

i agree that drive through car washes can go to hell... lazy lazy people. though i'm pretty lazy right now since its cold outside so i'm happy with power washing my car and drying it with a chamois. this summer i'm goin to have to detail it again pretty good though... i can't wait damn black

car washes also warp brake rotors (splashing water on assumably hot brake pads, since you DID drive there... right?).

as much as they suck, can't beat em when you've got 5 minutes to spare before heading to a formal event and your car is dirty since it takes your apartment complex years to clean all the dirt off the driveway left from winter......

that said... i wash my car sometimes... but usually the dirt helps hide the scratches in the paint.

I don't wash my car anymore. It's so dirty here add in the fact everytime i wash it, birds leave a pin strip of shit down my car Fuck it i'm not washing til it looks like complete crap. And ace is right about car washes when your low on time (exp. when you know the "cop code" to the car wash ) Now if I was keeping my car that would be a different story

i HATE carwashes, i will never go to one again with my car. They scratch the hell out of your cars and it is way too expensive, i would rather wash it at home and then wax it my self

i think that home washes are the best beacuse they dont mess up the car when it goes in the car wash. and people with big erector set spoilers that go though it and forget that they have it on their car, come out the other side with it broken off. ahhaha! big aluminum spoiler = 1,000,000,000 pounds of downforce!!!

My baby only gets the soft touch of a sponge under my hand. The only thing I hate about washing my car is that I realize just how many dings and scratches there are in the paint

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA....
I once used the green side of those kitchen sponges to "clean" our polished marble/granite dining table... needless to say, it's not so polished anymore! hahaha... I feel for ya!

Meguairs everything, wash, cleaner, polish, polish again, and wax... Boar's hair brush and lambswool mitt when washing. Microfiber towel/rags when drying/polishing and waxing.

Only go to carwashes in the winter time when it's REALLY cold, but usually I wash it myself. I rinse, use Mother's soap. Natural sea sponge or lambskin mitt. Regular sponge for the tires and rims. Then I rinse. California wiper blade... then big blue micro fiber towel. If I am feeling good that day, I'll do the meguiar's three steps, if not then I will use the 3M liquid wax- long lasting and fairly decent shine. :) The wax I apply with 100% cotton towels. Vinylex the interior Rain X the windows and I am all set. :D

I hate to say it, but im in New York, you get all the nice Salt off da streets in the winter ... the lovely residue of snow after a nice snowstorm .... BUT, THERE AINT NO WAY IM GOING OUT IN 30 DEGREE WHETHER TO WASH MY CAR! No matter how much I love my car, she gets the car wash in the winter ...

In the summer, its Blue Corel Wash, Wax and Compound, and fully
buffed with my buffing machine ... :: sigh :: i love that buffer.

In between washes I use Mcquires detail spray crap.
