Aight, it REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALY depends on Condition of the motor, and what your planning on...
-I was quoted for an s13 RedTop in fair condition...3,500 Canadian before install...

-Sometimes a clip can be better, cause ur guaranteed all the parts are there...but u also have the fun job of taking the engine out...

-Labor, it depends on the shop u go to.

-Excess parts? usually everything is included...if ur planning on upgrading the Intercooler or ECU or something during instal, again, it depends on what ur getting and who ur getting it from.

-All parts are usually included in the price, and it depends on what year, and waht condition your getting.
if u want an s15 black top in mint condition, ur looking at prolly 8 grand total...if u want a poor condition s13 redtop with highmileage and missing intercooler/turbo ect...way cheaper...

i thought if you order the sr20det it should come with everything needed for the complete swap, meaning take out old motor and drop in new one, right?

No, if you order just an SR20DET, it will not come with everything you need to complete the swap, even if you order the front clip, you will usually still need to get the downpipe, and a couple of other minor things.
As far as pricing goes, it REALLY REALLY depends on the shop like, XylathaneGTR, said. If you are serious about it, private message me, IM me, or e-mail me, all info is in my profile. I can get you in touch with someone.

You can usually get a front clip for under $3,000. It should be fairly complete, but expect to have to buy a few minor items. I'm really not sure about the cost of install, I would't expect to pay over $1,000, but I may be wrong. Go to www.SRSWAP.com it's the best site i've found so far....and it's EAST COAST!!!! Good luck.

You will find different prices everywhere, some complete and otehrs not complete. Where are you located at? maybe we can suggest a perfromance shop that you can look into.

Go here and you will be much more educated about swapping to the SR.

I do believe heavy throttle has an estimate of 1500 uSD to do a full install. That's just the install price. add about 4000 for the engine and parts (including certain performance parts... maybe more like 3000 if you're going stock SR20DET) and you have a final price.

http://www.heavythrottle.com
http://www.srswap.com

I believe the two pages are identical. (same ppl)

I checked out those sites and it said:
S13 Red-top SR20DET complete $2400 plus shipping includes all electronics and ignition parts, uncut harness.

What do you supposet they mean but complete? does that mean it will come with everything just so the engine will start?
has anyone brought anything from srswap or unstablehybrid and if you would buy from them again?
can you guys recommend a good shop in Arizona?
sorry about all the questions....Thanks

anotherazn. I know one of the guy there for hypertechno, goober I think his nickname is. (maybe it's you??) www.srswap.com has a pretty good basic setup before upgrading turbo for a total of $6000 dollars includin labor. It'll cost you more in the long run if you dont do that list of upgrades, since all of the new piping and modifications. But they do charge on the high end..

I believe hypertechno is doin their first sr swap, not that experienced I dont think. But htey may be cheaper.. dunno

Tuner M in Edison, NJ
TurboCity in Elizabeth, NJ
Performance Factory in Queens, NY

These three shops have experience with sr swaps. I'll post their phone numbers once I find them in my mess of a room.

I have all kinds of qoutes. Most people say it will be atleast 6K. I can get a front clip for $3000, the engine and tranny for $1900. My local shop wanted $4000 for the engine alone. I was qouted at $950 for the install, plus some if its a clip.

hey hid, did you find the phone numbers yet?

put it this way, if you can do the whole stock redtop swap, by a shop, for all expenses under 3500, then it's a good deal
