Hey everyone,
I've just recently purchased a 180sx vlsd differential for a great deal. The only problem is that 1 of the axles needs to be rebuilt. The cover that goes over the inboard joint is missing and missing the ball bearings from inside the differential. I was wondering if anyone has heard of a rebuild kit that might work with the jdm axle, or what axle from a us spec car I can use. I have read that you can use the j30 axles, but when I have asked parts stores for that part they give me a funny look. Like no one knows what a j30 is around here. I have also looked at the parts catalog for the axles for a j30 and a 300zx. Would it be possible to use the inboard joint from a 300zx non turbo? From what I have seen in the pictures, it looks like it shares the same 5 bolt pattern. I only paid $150 for the vlsd and axles, thought it was a good deal, but I never knew that finding this other axle would be so tough.
Thanks.
