got code 55, does this mean everything checks out??? still has rough idle and WILL NOT REV PAST 1500 rpm!!!! possibly bad timing??? hmmmm...running real rich, i don't know what else to check, how do i set the valve lash, or where can i find this info, thanks

Code 55 means there is no malfunction in the circuits for ECU codes.

do a test... disconnect each injector from the harness and if there is a sudden lose of power its not the injectors or fuel. thats what i did for mine :D

MAFS is the culprit almost 100% sure.....If you were throwing a code other than 55 id suspect that the MAFS was OK and that the other was the culprit but this sounds strangley familiar to a faulty MAFS....
