ok, i got this cheapo cone filter and adaptor for the stock intake:

but as i was about to take the airbox out i noticed a sensor. did some searching on here and the only thing i could find basically is that its a Air Temp. Sensor. but didnt find out anymore info. there is no place to put it on the cone filter or the adaptor so my question is, what do i do with the ATS? im sure i need it right?

IAT is only used for OBD purposes, you can tie it to the harness anywhere near the filter.

you mean tie it into the intake anywhere or do you mean disconnect it and let it hang?

Tie it near the filter. Do not disconnect it.

you mean just like rig it to where the sensor is sitting outside the filter?

Outside, close to.. just make sure it's near to the air filter.

or you could put a resistor in, tape it up, mount it up, then use and obdII reading tool and erease the CEL....thats what i did.

sorry to steal your thread but I have an ARC intake box that doesn't clear the hood. Can i just buy a filter at autozone, nappa, oreilys that will bolt right up to the adapter?
