Well like the title says my hood flew up on the way home today. The only damage was to my roof. It kinda bent the roof down in the middle and in some spots here and there. I was wondering if there is any bracing under the sheet metal that could get damaged. You guys think a shop can fix it back to perfect shape again? And also would the roof still be as strong?

Thanks

Yes and I dunno.

My friend had the exact same thing happen to his car. Took him to a friend's bodyshop, and they pushed the roof back up. Still has dents but its straight. :D

Just curious, did you have a carbon fiber or aftermarket hood? Do you know how or why it happened? Pretty strange to have an OEM hood unlatch..

It was an OEM hood and my hood was slightly bent so i guess it didnt really latch all the way.

that's why my stock (aluminum) hood has hood pins in it. so what if you think i'm a ricer for doing to my stock hood. i'm safe now.

i guess i am lucky then, my hood and hinges were only tore up and my roof just had minor dents. Just hope nothing else serious is damaged.
