I havent posted much on this forum, i spend most of my time reading post but i have come to a point where i need some suggestion. Im looking for a fuel and spark management system and was wondering what people were running and what were the expereinces. I am currently looking at the emanage, the apexi standalone, or possiblly even the aem ems. I am currently running an apexi afc 2.

I am in the process of rebuilding the engine now, parts that are going into it
blacktop sr

Eagle h beam rods
ross pistons 8.5:1 .020 over bore
comp valve springs
crower titanium retainers
greddy rocker arm stoppers
hks 272 step 2 cams
gt3071r
tial bov
blitz fmic
z32 mafs
walbro 255
580cc top feed injectors
custom fuel rail

THe block has not gone to the machine shop but they will be boring it .020 over, honing, port, clean magniflux, etc .. .i am considering possibly porting and polishing the head and doing a 5 anlgle valve job. I am looking to go with 740cc injectors and was hoping to be able to run about 22-23 psi on the gt3071r. any advice on fuel and spark , engine management would be great

stand-alone.

Stand alone for sure! For ease of wiring, I would say go with the new AEM plug and play ecu. Then book some dyno time and maybe someone to calibrate for you if you aren't to sure abou it.

definetly stand-alone. I'm going with the aem ems myself.

Stand alone is the way to go I am using the haltech e6x and the new HalWinx software great stuff and it plays very well with the nissan sensors for tps and stuff

If you have trouble ligiting off the mixture you may need to upgrade to splitfire coils or high energy standalone coils

I'm at the same point myself (though more because I'm a stickler for complete reliability) and my understanding is that AEM's setup is a good choice, especially since it allows you to replace the MAF sensor w/ a 3 bar sensor. Just trying to be helpful, and I'm still learning so if I got something there wrong, I'm sorry.
