who makes most reliable starters and alternators besides OEM? anyone had any exp with advance auto parts stuff?

Hmm, we might.

I don't have a business that sells them personally, don't get me wrong, I just am an associate at a store that sells them. Check out your local Checker / Schucks / Kragen store and see what they've got.

I know we'd have the alt for the FF SRs, I don't know about the FR ones, though.

Aftermarket is hit or miss. Sometimes you get a good one.

most of our stuff (AAP) is pretty good....just make sure to the lifetime warr.....the 1 yr starters and alts suck....

Yeah, same goes for the stuff we sell. The cheap remanufactured stuff is junk, but the Platinum stuff is very nice.
