Like Belt noise or like a Tea Kettle?

its probably your alternator belt squealing cause of the draw, change it

i think its the belt noise. i just changed my belts less than 1000 miles ago. should i loosen them or tighten them?

yeah if anyone has an answer to this it would be great.. because i have the same problem bu its not when heater is on its when its cold out and the engine is warm.. i have changed all belts.. loosened and tightened each one individually and have had NO LUCK! could it be cheap belts? or any other ideas because its really quite embarrasing to have a nice car and such and then go SQUEEEEEEEEK when you leave the stop light EVERY TIME!

I have the exact same problem after I replaced my belts and crank pulley. When it's cold I get a loud screeching sound. I tightened the power steering belt but it's still there. So i'm guessing it's the alternator belt. Haven't had a chance to get to it.

well for me its only when i start the car for about 15 seconds. the noise goes away when the engine bay gets hot.

tighten your belts.... all of you.. and if they're old, replace them and tighten them good
