Speed Sensor Problem

I swapped my 95 240sx auto tranny to a 5sp a few weeks back, and i read online i could use my automatic speed sensor, but that sensor didn't fit so i went and bought a manual speed sensor. Then i found the end that attatches to the wiring doesnt connect with the wiring harness so i took two wires and tried to match them to the wires from the harness. After that my speedo has been way off and is at about 3 times the speed i am actually going. I was wondering if anyone knew what was wrong or was it because i didnt hook up my 5th gear and neutral sensors? I've been trying to fix it for weeks and any help is appreciated.

Sounds like you used an S13 VSS.

I thought that was my problem at first too but, i bought a speed sensor from someone and I bought a brand new speed sensor but neither of them seems to fix the problem.
