I just got back from D1 and wasn't that impressed. the track layout is a joke compared to what they do in Japan.

i agree the track was weak, but the entry speed was crazy :rawk:

On the contrary that track layout was pretty challenging with the upward undulating slope right before the second turn. It made it very difficult for most of the American drivers. It even made some of the Japanese drivers struggle.

I think it was a good layout, with teh long stretch in the beginning so the drivers could reach up to 100mph.

The commentary was pretty good this time. Made me laugh alot. Just sucks on the mic problem, and it sorta seemed like they didnt know what was going on at times becuase the announcers where talking about something else and all of a sudden you got the drivers coming down teh track.

Anyone else there just before th D1 final event? They did the JGTC ride along for the winners...It was totally un fuckin expected.

The demo/tuner cars were chillin, doin their laps, when suddenly there's this ungodly roar from noo where, and it's already getting dark...and the fuckin JGTC MOTUL R34 comes flying outa the pits, roars right up to the pack of regular, innocent cars, and passes every poor sucker out there. I think one of the sentras tried to put up a fight (PWNAGE), but that only lasted about half a second. Then it was gone...and it was back and zipping through the pack again. SIckness.

I'm fairly certain I would have vomitted if I were in that car...it was blowing the Ferrari's away like nobody's business.
