I would like to upgrade the sr20det blow off valve to a HKS SSQV BOV I was just wondering if the flanges match up and if it will bolt up. Or if I need to get it put on and if so who would I need to contact to do it. Secondly I noticed my friends talon has a stock blow off valve. But it has a hose coming off of the end and re routing it into the intake. sometimes he takes this hose off to get a louder sound but when the BOV is activated the engine boggs and runs really rich for a second because that accounted air is not going back into the intake. Will I have any problem like this on the SR20 and if so how do I get around that???

You will have that problem on the SR - any time you put an atmospheric BOV (one that vents to the atmosphere) in place of a recirculating BOV (one that ricurculates back into the intake stream), you're going to run rich;  with recirculating BOV's, the ECU compensates by adding extra fuel for the air coming in via the BOV.  When you switch to atmospheric, the ECU still adds the fuel, but the air doesn't come.

The problem can be fixed with a piggyback fuel controller and dyno tuning (or an A/F gauge if you're brave).  As far as matching up the flanges, it depends what kind of I/C piping you have.  With the stock piping, there's no flange, so a flange won't fit.  With aftermarket piping, I'm assuming it won't fit any piping besides HKS.  The Sard BOV (which is what I'm running) connects to the I/C piping via a hose, so there's no welding.  It'll also connect to the stock piping with this hose...picked up mine for 240 bucks including shipping from taka kaira.

i agree w cuban u need to recirculate the air.
i had all kinds of problems when i had a blitz blowin the air out into the atmosphere.got a greddy type r and cut 2 loops off the spring and tightened it all the way down, recirculated it and problem solved.
