Anyone know how much power (not too much) a stock 90 KA24E might be pushing out? Ive gotten some estimates of around 120. :Owned:

Dude that's factory numbers. He's asking for RWHP.

120 hp sounds about right. the torque should be the same as for the 91-98, around 135.

no, no.....the 140hp / 155tq are claimed factory numbers at the crank. What you put to the wheels is totally different. Usually for RWD cars subtract about 15 percent from the factory numbers, FWD cars subtract about 12 percent. That's a good ballpark.

Power loss is mostly found due to loss of compression over the years and poor maintenance. Get a compression test and go from there.

I thought the KA24E was rated at 130 HP? Of course that would be @ Flywheel.

well according to the french-government-owned Nissan; its official rating is now 180hp ;) it just mysteriously disappears when power is put to pavement...
sorta like the newer SE-R sentra and the Q45's V8 ;)

That's funny, my friends SE-R Spec V loses ALOT of power IMO about 17 percent!! WTF?!
