good company to buy rb from

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if jazz pro parts is a reputable company to purchase engines from or not? I am thinking about buying an rb25det engine and tranny from them.

they do lots of RB25/26 stuff.

www.phase2motortrend.com and www.sr20store.com are also great places to call up for RB motors. I'd say those 2 shops have the best engines arround socal and alot of used/ new oem parts if u need something extra. Givem both a call.

I thought venus-auto was a horrible places to get motors from. Is that true?

Some people have had good luck with Venus, some have not. If you search for them, there is tons of information.

I didn't get my motor from them....
But they helped me out whenever i needed a hard-to-find-part... no one could source this part... not even mckinney.... but they got it for me and shipped it the same day i called
I know i can tell you who NOT to go with.... flashoptions... that's a big NO NO

I actually bought my RB25 from JDM engines. I will let you know how it is when I get it in a couple of weeks.

dont go to venus.... i got my front end there and i went there to pick it up and from what ive seen... theyre crap. they didnt kno how to use the cherrypicker and an engine dropped.... and another engine slipped too and was about to fall..... plus the fenders i got from them.... crap. even the body shop told me they would use it. ITS THAT BAD!

I'm hoping you're saying that the body shop would NOT use them cuz they're in such bad shape.

I thought if you went up there to pick it up, you could choose the cleaner panels? Much like everyone who's had good success with them, they look and pick out the motor they want based on their own personal inspection -- and I hope that goes with body panels, LSD's, interior pieces, etc

I was planning on getting my conversion from them as well, but I was going to go up and pick/mix/match to get as many clean/straight/undented pieces as possible to piece together a full conversion set before paying.
