OK, anyone have any info in regards to using the stock KA24DE ECU with a S13 SR20DE motor? I heard it has to be sent out to JWT to be reprogramed. However, they havent gotten in contact with me yet. I heard rumor that the KA ecu will run fine the way it is. Any truth in that? Anyone know any particular wiring that needs to be changed?

If you don't know anything... don't worry about it... but I know from experiance if you hook up a ECU for one engine to another one it won't go together so well. You could loose some serious efficency.

If you're familiar with romeditor I have a ka24de address file for it as well as a couple of roms. And a s13 sr20det daughterboard does work in the dohc ka's ecu.

the only stuff I've been able to come up with on the internet is 2 basic theories.
1. The KA24 ECU must be "reprogramed" to run the SR20DE
2. The SR20DE harness plugs into the ECU, and works fine.
anyone know anything about either?
