I installed a new ignition coil, new starter, and a new timed-correctly distributor but my 240 does not get any spark to the plugs. I made sure the spark plugs still worked, the distributor is getting 12v, the ignition coil is sending out 12v, the distributor cap is also taking in those 12v from the starter but for some reason im getting no spark to the plugs. Any ideas?:-/

Ive been reading around for a little bit and it may have something to do with the ignition control module but i dont want to spend an extra $80 right now, any way to test the module out?

Had an issue exactly like this. I was getting power to everything, replaced every ignition component (plugs, wires, dizzy cap, rotor, then dizzy itself, coil, ICM) with known working ones.

Ended up being a bad ECU.

Blown ecu or short in engine harness

Blown ecu or short in engine harness

Hopefully that’s case even though a buddy of mine tested out all the pinouts but he’s bringing a spare single fame ECU Friday and and I’m praying that’s the problem :) And the short seems slightly unlikely but that’ll be my last resort before a swap once I’ve got the money

Did you also test for fuel? no spark or fuel = no signal from CAS to ECU. If you in fact aren't getting both, I'd start with a continuity check from the CAS wiring to ECU, should be a single wire and a ground I believe. Heading out soon or I'd pull the FSM and find them for you.
