I have looked up several forums even one's not about 240s and couldnt find one that i could relate to... So heres my problem and im not sure what to do next.

For some odd reason, when i went to start my car around two hours after idling it for like 10 minutes and going on a drive for a bit, my car was detonating like crazy.

Oh the car has a blown headgasket as well but anyways heres the info:

The car was sputtering a shit ton, and had bad throttle response.

I opened the hood, and tried these things:

- Unplugged TPS to check if it was bad: Car steadily started to accelerate when unplugged, so im assuming the tps isnt the problem.

- I unplugged each injector one at a time, the car would die if i tried unplugging 2 , 3 , or 4. When i unplug 1, the car runs the same. I checked power to the plug with a light tester, and sure enough, power to the injector. l took a different injector and swapped it in, nothing changed. I checked for spark by pulling out the plug and holding it to cover, i could hear it sparking. Why is the injector not listening to the ecu, or why is my ecu not triggering cylinder 1? im very confused.

I plan to possibly replace the fpr? Not sure if that would solve anything. For some reason when i was using my nissan datascan (i just got and am learning how to use it), and i ran a test, I revved up the motor and for some odd reason it wasnt recording my RPM's. It said my TPS was closed the entire time so im not too sure why its doing that. Thats a seperate problem i guess.

Tomorrow ill take my stethoscope and maybe try to listen for it clicking, maybe my fuel rail magically got clogged *facepalm*

I swear to god 240s have endless problems its always something new, now its this headgasket im replacing next weekend, and this stupid ass injector problem.

You have power to the injector but do you have ground?

Didn't check. Dont know where to follow the wire back to id have to tear apart my entire harness probably. How can i check if I have a ground? Resistance to it? What should it be at if so.

With your light tester. Instead of booking it up to ground to check for power, hook it up to power to check for ground

Ill probably have to strip the outer part of the ground then... The plug is too small for me to clip onto it with the ground thing.

Ecu switches to ground to fire the injector. It doesn't pulse power to fire it. You have a broken ground wire between your injector and the ecu, or the injector driver has burned in that cylinder, or both.
