View Full Version : 1jz no spark no fuel

Hello, finally got to wiring this damn thing. So, of course I have issues.
1jz jzx90, 4 row ecu, in an s13, always manual, mates to a cd009. Ecu is auto(shouldn't matter).
Wiring specialties pro harness. All grounds are connected.

Things I've checked:
Fuel pump turns on
Coils have power when key on
Injectors have power when key on
Crank, and both cam sensors check out
Ignitor has power

Any ideas what to look for? Bad way? Maybe crank sensor is bad even though it's in spec? Trigger wheel?

Derp.

I'll double check the crank sensor, trigger wheel and timing tomorrow.

Just to update, had no cel from ecu, no lights whatsoever. Opened it up, leaky capacitors everywhere. All of them.

Also found out the ignitor is pretty much just and empty box, was all ripped apart and hot glued back together .

So bad ecu is the fuel, and no spark was ignitor.

Verified-bad ecu AND bad igniter was the issue, 1j runs now.
