just out of curiousity, how much is it to run? and how many laps do you get? Time attack only? or multiple cars on the track?

thx247

To get timing its $20 dollars additional. Most events on the west coast are 2 hours of seat time, multiple cars on the track. Depending on the run group's experience, you have passing in corners or no passing at all.

last track day I went to there was no passing in corners except for the cars that were actually racing, did you mean passing in straights or no passing?

Speedventures broke the last event I went to into four groups and had different rules for each group for the most part regarding passing.

Group A: "Beginners with school" who paid a little bit more and got a lot of instructor time in the cars as well as some classroom time. I don't think they were even allowed to pass but I wasn't in that group.

Group B: "Beginners with no school" No classroom time and limited instructor time was optional. Point by's were required on the straights and discouraged on the turns.

Group C: "Intermediate" Passing required a point by at any safe juncture.

Group D: "Advanced" Free for all, but common courtesy never hurt.

Hope this helps.
