What sort of time frame are we looking at for the plugs? I'm interested, but wont have the cash for a week or three (schoolbooks, tech fees ). Any of the geniuses here have thoughts on these plugs? Worth it?

Does anyone know anything about these plugs? I've never heard of them before.

If you pick up an issue of SCC, there are at least 3 ads for them. Check these places out. Here they gained 6.9hp on a '98 prelude!
http://www.bottlefedracing.com/ourcars/1998honda.htm
there is a dyno chart there.
and

There is info there.
I would buy some, because they sound badass, but I intend on swapping my engine... so no dice

Yeah. No Prob. Like I said, and my friends would vouch for me, I would buy them if I wasn't gonna junk my engine in a couple months.
But they really are kickin' plugs... Maybe I'll figure out what part number goes to a s15 sr20 motor.

If I went with the 8.5mm Magnecore wires and the Iridium plugs would the performance=the price?
My platinum plugs on my '97 have got 70k on them, their life is supposed to be around 100k so they probably could be changed ahead of schedule and that would be good.
Im figuring around $120 for the wires and the plugs, am I gonna see or feel a difference? Does anybody know if it is worth it? That is a pretty cheap mod and if I can get a few horses out of it, and maybe the car idles or just feels better it would be worth it to me. If I can get some positive feeback then count me in.

Come on pchio sell me on these things :)have you got any results on the S14's
I dont know much about the stock ignition on the Prelude, did it have platinum plugs?
That sounds like a modest increase in HP for the price but then again Im not driving a Prelude

If I were to spend money on plugs, I would buy the Denso plugs. And on my '96, the plugs have a 60,000 mile life. Are you sure yours are 100k, mrace?
Also... Wires better than magnecor are Nology... but they're expensive.
But... I'm not gonna sell someone else's stuff.

Yea when I took it for the 60k maintenance they said the plugs dont get changed 'till 100k because they are platinum. So they saved me a few bucks. That was at the dealership. Ive been dealing with them for 4 years now and Ed even looked it up to make sure I had them.

also I emailed pchio so hopefully he will respond to my inquirey, tnx for the response Jeff.

I did get a reply from pchio, he said they were good plugs and told me they put additional horsepower to a Honda Prelude but that they hadnt tested them yet on any 240's yet

I am gonna get a set soon, with some msd wires, the nology ones are just too expensive to me, I cant justify spending that much on wires when everyone seems to be using msd just fine. Personal oppinion.

When I get them, Ill post back here but it may be awhile.

mrace--how much are your msd wires costing you? Do they have a website?

mrace240sx

The cheapest I have found them was $89.95 at Alamo Motorsports.
http://www.alamomotorsports.com/
Ive done quite a bit of searching, most other places have them for around $105.

Anybody else find a better price?
