Project Mu Brake upgrade help/advice/information

Hi

This Is my first post in regards to looking for help so if I left anything out please feel free to leave a comment or any questions, but under no conditions shit talk in my thread

I currently have JDM S14 front 5 lug and I'm trying to find out if anyone has put on or upgraded to Project Mu front calipers.

My main concerns are
What rim size is my minimum?
Would I have to upgrade the S14 brake booster?
If you have installed them do you have part numbers?

You're talking like the $3k project mu big brakes?
You should probably email them.
Bigger brakes you'll probably want a bigger master cylinder.

Just speculating here, I only took 5 seconds on PJM's website to find their brakes up a 355mm rotor and the height of the caliper is roughly 3 inches in height
The rotor is a little more than 1" Bigger than the 350z track rotor which clears 17s

EDIT: 5 more seconds of googling, ctsv uses a 380mm rotor and clears 17s

Spoke design and offset are going to be critical too

Just curious, why choose the overly expensive Project Mu BBK instead of something more cost-effective like Wilwood, StopTech or AP Racing? Is it a show car or something?

Simplest way I can explain it is personal preference and just because I like burning money lol.

But it's the same kind of idea where some guys love meaty tires and some guys like -10 degree camber on rubber bands always comes down to personal preference.

I'd bet ctsv offers similar or better performance for 1/3 the cost. ($1200 for 6 piston)

I won't argue that the cost for performance is probably more than most set ups
I have a friend who did the Willowood front big brake upgrade cost was reasonable and performance was good for a 420hp car.
As I stated before if I can go with Project Mu I would prefer it

you will clear certain BBK friendly wheels such as CE28, ZE40 and aggressive TE37V faces but will have better options in 18" full reverse wheels. certain stepped lipped wheels will clear but disk/face offset will all come into play.

PMU only has a front kit designed for the S14. You can make rear 370Z/G37 kit fit the rear but won't be cheap.

as for the booster question, if your car was auto and have a auto bmc then you'll be fine. if you have a original MT car then you should change to a Z32 bmc.

PMU orders are currently a min 4month ETA.

Can you fit 17s? Or 18 is a must?

depends on the wheel but will clear most 17" as long as they are not step lipped.

I have TE37V Mark II now and they are stepped but clear without any issues.
