Reset the ecu to clear a code?

I replaced the Z32 maf with another on my s13 because it was throwing a maf code. It seems to run much much better now but is still throwing a maf code. I turned the screw on ecu back and forth but it doesnt reset. Do you need to disconnect the battery or anything? Thanks...

With the ignition in the on position but car not running turn the knob all the way, wait 5 seconds, then turn it all the way back. If it still doesn't work leave the battery disconnected overnight. What are you using to tune for the z32 maf?

The ECU was programmed for Z32 maf, it just took a crap so I had to replace it.
