I have an S13 coupe (240sx) and ive started to notice that my idle is very bad especially when im not moving or when im stopped. I suspected the MAF or the IACV, but i wasnt sure some people said to run seafoam through the vacuum lines or the fuel tank, my car runs rich so its not getting enough air and i just want more opinion before going ahead with things. It likes to idle around 750 and then drop to 250 and bounce around those 2. If i could get a decent opinion on the matter that would help amazingly. I notice when you press the gas a little it studders but when you open up the throttle more it evens out. Im going to use a secondary MAF and see what happens. :ugh:

state your engine and mods first, but the usual suspects for that is a vacuum/boost leak

IACV is a decent bet on a KA

I agree. Happened to me. Cleaned the IACV. There's a hose you can disconnect from the intake that goes to the valve. This is a 2 person job. Have someone start the car, the car may stall so have thwm hold the revs 1000-1500. At the same time spay throttle cleaner ( not brake cleaner, tried that and it didn't work) gradually. When you're done, reconnect the hose to the intake and let it idle for a while to clean itself out.
