lately my SR20 has been making noise when it hits 4500 rpm. sounds like its coming from under the hood. its hard to describe but kind of a raspy fluttering sound. It doesn't seem to coincide with the boost though since I can hold it at 4500 and the sound stays there while the boost goes back down. I first noticed it in 1st gear since theirs little road noise at that speed but duplicated it up to 3rd gear. Anyways I appreciate any help solving this since i like to use all of my gear not just the first 4000 rpm.
By the way I have a 90 240sx with a redtop motor in it. i kept the stock sidemount, etc. the only real mods are a mbc, a nismo fpr, walbro255 pump, and i have the boost turned to 9-10 psi. Im thinking of dialing it back down to stock to see if it'll fix the noise though i doubt it will.
