Problem installing motor with SSAutochrome turbo outlet?

I dropped my SR20DET in tonight with the SSAutochrome "HKS Style" O2 turbo outlet. It doesn't clear the steering linkage.
Is this an old problem? Did I miss something? Anyone have any good experience or bad experience?

yeah it doesnt fit according to a guy who just bought one he had to have it heat pressed inward so it clears by 1 cm

You ever wonder why HKS usa does not import those turbo elbows???

Maybe because they dont clear the us steering shaft....

Same with gruppe s elbows.

mine clears without modifying but I have the SSA exhaust mani also

blu808 is just a smart ass =) who has no car of his own.. damn those ff honda owners.. hehhe... but yeah... if you need something that works.. go with a silkroad exhaust turbo outlet.. we have on in stock too.. =)

if you want it to fit just cut a slot into two think washers and put tehm on teh bottom bolt of your engine mount, itll raise that side of the engine up a 1/4 inch or so and make the extension clear my a tiny amount, but still make it clear...thats what i had to do...and i also have the SSA manifold.

here is what i did with 2...1/8-1/4" think washers:

Mine did not clear, even with SSA manifold. But I had it modified to clear... search thread titled "you be the judge" in technical.
