Does cruise control on s14s require any input from the 4 trans sensors (4th gear, 5th gear, neutral, reverse)?

Every one of the sensors on my trans besides the speed sensor has a broken wire and im not going to go through the hassle right now of finding new sensors and replacing them unless I have to for cruise control. Later on I might do it to have reverse lights again

My clock spring is broken so I know for sure the buttons on the steering wheel wont work until I replace that, but I would like to see if anything else would stop it from working

I think the cruise control was in the engine bay

I am aware of all the parts that make up the cruise contol. There is parts in the engine bay and a computer (box) inside the passenger foot well by the ECU

Everything is intact, I am just concerned with whether or not cruise control will function without have those 4 connectors on the trans plugged in

Speed signal most likely needs to be intact. Look at the wiring in the FSM. There are 4 wires that go to the control unit in the engine bay from the M63.

Just need a speed sensor. There is no 4th gear sensor.

The answer is, it depends. If your car is a factory 5-speed car, then you only need the VSS (speed sensor) to work. If your car was originally an Auto, then there is a neutral position relay in the engine compartment fuse box. Depending on how, or if, the neutral switch wiring was done for the conversion, you may have to remove the relay and jump together pins 3 & 4.
