after i installed the 300zx brakes i notice a very faint click noise (just clicks once right before the pads make contact with the rotors) right when i step on the brakes, and its be doing it since i installed them (over 2 months now) it sounds like it is comming from the pads/clips in the caliper, maybe a clip might be upside down?
is this normal? should i be concerned about it
other than that slight noise the brakes work fine

Are you running shims or anti-rattle clips? That's probably the cause.

sticky brake pad is my guess. Maybe time to clean the guides on the caliper.

I'd also suggest the clips. The pads sticking might be a good idea to look at too. Good luck.

i don't think i have any of the shims or anti-rattle clips, its just the brake pads with the pins that hold it on the caliper,
i remember rubbing off some lube from the back of the pads when i got the calipers, to clean it/painting the calipers
i'll try to give it a clean, it may be sticky
