Hey guys, so I bought 91 240sx coupe with the ka24de. I bought it with like a fully welded exhaust without a catalytic converter, so obviously I can't pass inspection. I recently got a ticket for a bad inspection sticker, so I decided to fully replace the exhaust, so that I could install it myself. I realize I could probably just get an exhaust shop to cut it and weld in a cat for me, but I want to do it myself. So I plan on getting DC Sports 4-2-1 headers, a Catco 3in high flow catalytic converter, and an Isis MBSE catback.

DC Sports headers: http://www.enjukuracing.com/products/dc-sports-4-2-1-header-for-nissan-240sx.html
Catco 3in cat: http://www.enjukuracing.com/products/catco-3-inch-high-flow-catalytic-converter.html
Isis catback: http://www.enjukuracing.com/products/isis-performance-mbse-type-e-exhaust-system-nissan-240sx-89-94.html

So this whole exhaust including the hangers and the manifold gasket will cost around $900. Yes some might say save a little more for a swap or a turbo. But for now I want to stay Na KA until I get coilovers, big brakes, wheels, control arms, sway bars, etc. Eventually I plan on going KA-T, but not anytime soon.

What do you guys think about this setup? Let me hear it.

I will have this exact setup on my S14 (except I am doing an Isis test pipe) once we finish regasketing the motor and get it back in the car. Should be another month or so, I'll post up impressions if you haven't already put yours together.

The stock exhaust on a 240sx will support 300~ horsepower. There is absolutely no reason, even with an sr20det engine, to upgrade your exhaust system from the factory $20 used unit.

The silvia S14 that comes with the sr20det turbocharged engine in Japan uses the same exact exhaust system that comes on our cars here.
