S13 lsd ? how to know ?

Hi !

no orange sticker,
how to know if a differential is a v-lsd by turning the axle ?
which way add to turn the opposite one ??

I have found that test to be inaccurate from my experience, or somehow I didn’t follow the instructions right when I did the "turn test" to see if you have a vlsd. If it doesn’t have the sticker then its not a VLSD. What model is this off, that will tell us if it has one or not. Best way to check is to take it off and open it up :)

when i got my vlsd it didn't have the sticker, but it sure is a vlsd

Ok so in the pict 3 it's apparently the abs sensor.
But it's strange, the 2 hoses seems to be for an oil radiator ...
But i never saw that before ...

I'm guessing the lines are for a differential oil cooler.

Which makes me wonder what that diff has been through...

Ok,
apparently, the diff oil cooler id an european spec on S13.
I live in France.

But my oem one has no cooler so i don't know how to do ...
taking the inner of the lsd to put in the non_lsd one,
don't know if it's possible ??
or to stop the holes ... i don't know ...
what do U guy think about that ?

Hi,

i'm living in France so here the models are different.
In France the 240sx is called 200sx, but for a commercial reason :squint:
the car come with the CA18det, and nissan stop to import the car
in 1996 i think, but we never had the SR20 on it :madfawk:
and the type X never went in France.
The LSD is, as i think an optional part and only on the phase 2.
In states, the 240sx SE come with lsd in the same time with
other options like leather seat or something else, make a research on this
site, I know that somebody has answered ...

Ok i got news,
in fact oil cooler is a normal spec on european S13
so i got an oil cooler on my oem diff
All the sensor are the same too
I hope the all parts will swap properly...
