Hey everyone this might be a stupid question but my bov is currently located on hot side by ic. I have z32 maf currently. I'm going to be redoing my ic piping and adding a map sensor. I know map sensor will be mounted I think 6" from throttle body. So where should my bov be mounted? It will be open atmosphere tuned on nismotronic any help would be great thanks!

It doesn't matter where. Typically they are mounted on the cold side of the IC. Your MAP sensor should be mounted in or off of your plenum, not before the throttle body.

I apologize I mean my iat sesnor not map sensor

If you are to use the intake air temp value with the new ecu... why not also add a MAP sensor and delete the maf? Nismotronic able to handle that?

Yeah I'm doing both but I meant the iat will be located in the ic cold pipe

I'm going gm iat and gm 3bar map

Put it somewhere before the throttle body. The intake will transfer heat and heat soak it.
You will want to out it somewhere where the fans won't blow hot air all over it at idle.
Does NT have something to ignore the IAT when cranking? I had to flash a firmware that had that with my MS because the IAT would be over 130 after parking for a while and it would crank so lean it wouldn't start.

Here's a pic of my IAT. I mounted it on the cold side before the idle air split-off pipe:

With NismotronicSA, cranking injector pulse width comes from a table based on CLT. IAT has no effect.

NismotronicSA also has a density correction table which allows you to control the effective IAT, based on the CLT, for the IAT fuel, timing, and boost duty trim tables.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll mount it close to that location and just mount my bov on cold side next to front mount.

I have to use the stock BOV recirculated because I switch between MAF and MAP (speed-density) for testing.

Yeah once I go map I won't go back lol

I always use MAF until 400 horsepower on the sr20det.
