Fellow Zilvians,

I have a basic question that I have been getting many mixed reviews on. I'm fairly new on the sr20 bandwagon so I figured just to be safe I should ask this question to avoid any purchasing headaches. I have an s14 with a s13 redtop complemented with what seems to be a 2 way lsd (which I believe doesn't matter). I'm just wondering if having an s13 redtop instead of a s14 blacktop would make a difference in which driveshaft I would need. I have this crazy feeling my carrier bearing is going out on my current driveshaft (slight knocking vibrations under my ass on the highway) so I want to be prepared and get it replaced asap. Would I need a s13 one peice or a s14 one piece? Logic is telling me s14 driveshaft but I just want to be 100 percent sure. Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks guys

Oh look, google!

oH WAIT, he from Florida. He ain't gotz no time fo edumacation.

Honest Answer,

I'd take it to a driveshaft shop to build you a proper one. A lot of these pre-fab ones are spec to "certain applications."

After the research I've been doing I think I would have to agree. I appreciate the help for sure.

Umm.. an SR is an SR. An S14 w/S13/14/15 SR swap (ABS or non-ABS) shaft will work...

yeah the only difference is abs or non abs..

i think my ka24de NON abs driveshaftshop DS would fit a sr20det if i decided to put one in

^^Yes it will. I ran the very same DSS shaft with the KA installed.

Sweet I do appreciate this guys. So basically a DS for an s14 that is compatible with the SR tranny will work. I'm going to talk to shaftmaster tomorrow and see what they can do for me.

Once again, thanks guys!
