hello i have a 91 s13 with 97 sr black top j4 ecu and i would like to wire my consult port up i have found pretty good info out there my only question is how do i tap in the wires going to the ecu for power and ground ??? i cant find pics. i understand the tx,rx,clk the other 2 i just cant seem to figure out and its in front of my face. the original consult is there but at the ecu those wires are cut and the other 2 wires not there someone recue me please:facepalm:
also is the power wire needed to the plug since the consult adapter i purchased already supplies its own power threw the usb on my lap top so like this i can just ground it and put the other 3 main wires and let it supply its own 12v
