Z32 Bmc (Autozone or oem Nissan)

I just wanted to know if anyone in here has ever tried using the autozone 300zx BMC version . I have been doing some research now and pretty much the autozone version doesn't come with the reservoir from what I have seen.


Autozone:$50
Frsports:$300 (oem) or $350 (dif)

So, pretty much should I trust the autozone quality?

Or am I just better off buying the oem Nissan/tokico version?

If it's a reman OEM unit then go for it. I bought a z31 15/16" Nabco reman bmc from them and it's been good. Just make sure you clean the oil out of it with brake cleaner.

I've used a z32 17/16 but swapped to a z31 15/16. Got my z31 from autozone and they gave me one without the reservoir but if you look at their website it'll say that it comes with a reservoir. Had the guy call another autozone to check their inventory and sure enough the other autozone had it with a reservoir. BTW I like the 15/16 a lot better than the 17/16 plus with the z31 you don't have to do the stupid 3rd fitting install on non ABS 240s.

Aftermarket units are no good. I've never had a problem with OEM units, you get what you pay for.

I agree that OEM units are good but saying aftermarket ones are no good is like saying brembo isn't good beause its not OEM. Yea you should make sure that the aftermarket parts arn't made cheaply. In the case for the autozone BMC I would choose the Autozone over OEM because of the price and warrenty difference. Autozone offer a lifetime warrenty on the BMC and FRsport does not. Plus there's no downtime from shipping.

I think you're taking things out of context. Aftermarket items purchased at Autozone generally fail frequently, hence my reasoning for suggesting to buy OEM parts. OEM parts come with a warranty just like the aftermarket parts. If you want to constantly swap out parts because of failures, by all means, have at it.
