my 92 s13 dohc is reading code 11 which says camshaft position sensor. my question is, is that the black ring in the distributor with the plug in the side? and is it the same as the crank angle sensor? and if it is i have my distributor dismantled and want to know if there is way to test the cps. or do i need to just buy a new distributor?
i bought her with some problem. it would only start buy pumping the gas, would barely hold idle. i drove her back to my house, looked for a vacuum leak by spraying carb cleaner around the vacuum lines but no where i sprayed made any effect. she was starting worse and worse and now she wont even start. she is getting gas cause i keep flooding my plugs trying to start it. she had a hot cam swap so im running 2 exhaust cams.
someone whose dealt with a code 11 before please shine light on what to do or if thats really the problem?
