i just installed my brand new injen intake and i am pretty bummed. not only did it take forever, it also isnt working properly. after i installed it my car's idle drops so low that i have to step on the gas to prevent it from dying. the only think I can find wrong with my installation is this hose is not on tight enough.

also, how come all the other injen intakes i've seen on the 97 are different than mine? this one connects 3 hose to a T adapter that was provided with my intake but my intake has all the slots for hoses and doesnt require the T adapter.

here are some issues i have with the intake i just bought. just wondering if you guys had the same issue. the inside of this thing looked like it was used and dirty. i scrapped some dirt off.

i couldnt put the bolt through without grinding it down a bit.

I am pretty positive as well that the hose in first picture is loose as fuck causing a air leak, thus giving you a dying idle...So I would replace that clamp with those stainless steel adjustable hose clamps. Also there is another hose at the bottom of that intake near the throttle body, make sure you have that plugged in as well.

Get a smaller hose that will fit inside that hose, that will still let you pop it into that nipple...kinda like a spacer. Thats what i did to mine 10 years ago.

Or get a hose step down connector from Lowes or Home Depot...something like this:
