Ka24de turbo question

i am turboing my built ka24de engine and im doing a diy junyard turbo kit and i was wondering if i should go with a saab TD04HL-15T turbo, or a Garrett turbo off of a 92 mercedes 300sd if a diesel turbo would work.

You could buy a t25 or t28 off someone on here for cheaper than a jy. It would be easier to build that way. Because its the most common kat set up. Ka-t.org has a whole thread on jy turbos somewhere.

im trying to do the same....i heard from a guy ive been buying parts from that the t25 has turbo lag to just pay a lil extra and get a t28.. off a black top

Yea I've seen Them as cheap as 75 with no shaft play. You can also rebuild a blown t25 for cheap since its a journal bearing.
