View Full Version : Pulley size
i am using a ka24de alternator on my ka24e, the pulley is slightly smaller on the new one, but not by much at all. do you think this would pose as a problem if all the slack was out of the belt?
all the slack? ya it would slip. The only other difference would be that the smaller pulley would spin the alternator faster. I dont know if that would cause premature failure but it should give more juice to your electrical system. i think
well its on there. i got the slack out, but the tensioner bracket didnt line up so i had to use the ka24de one, i hope this thing doesnt just fall apart one day driving. it will get me to work though. thanks
