Ok I saw a picture of Prudula's engine bay (I think that was his user name), and he had a breather filter where the "T" is on the valve cover, and his little black box was gone. Can anyone explain this to me? I'm wondering what would happen to the hoses that plug into that T... Here are some pictures. It's an S13 SR in an S14 chassis.

Also, what is this plugged hole for? (I didn't install my engine, and the shop sucks, so I'm fixing things)

Thanks,

If im correct, which i just check with my buddie. Thats a Evap Canister. Emissions control device. I know on the FWD sr20's it filters out gas tank evap, and crankcase evap and etc. It does not need to be thier, but you will not see any sorta gain unless its seriously broken. And im guessing when you said that the filter was where the "T" piece was, that it totaly replaced it. The filter was their cuz the valve cover still needs to breath and you cant just have a open hole. But if you pull this make sure you plug the bung where the line goes back in to the intake piping other wise your going to have a vac. leak. As for that that pluged hole im not totaly sure, but i would venture a guess as just a vac line bung for devices that dont need to see boost. Not sure but thats by guess.

If im wrong on any of this someone correct me, so i dont make a ass of my self again. :)
