Water pump housing (inside block) help

Ok so I recently purchased a built s13 sr20 that (from what the previous owner says) has been freshly rebuilt. With only idle time ran on it. I was changing the water pump since he included a new water pump (assuming he just never got to it himself) and when I busted the water pump off I see this (pic at the bottom) well my question is I know it doesn't look fresh but will this complicate the new water pump I am installing? Just looks like corrosion? I don't see how much it'll impact the performance of the new water pump.

There's really nothing you can do about it since its part of the block.

yea it looks like the old pump hit the wall on the block right there and chipped some iron off or something i dont know or its corrosion that was takin out by the shop that rebuilt it. thanks for the help guys ill be installing the new pump in the morning.
