ok, just got a new alternator, test the leads on battery with car on, only get about 11.95, then starts to go down, goes down more if i turn on lights, if i diconect negitive it killed the car
i also tried using the multimeter and etst the new alt. by puting the black wire from the meter to the negitive on the battery and the red wire to the return bolt on the alt. but it reads just 1.00
why would that be? im using the DCV setting on the meter
note. ive exted the wires fro the fuse box to tuck it under the car in front of the wheel is, ive been using a 12volt light tester to make sure there no breakes in the wires that run to the alt.
alss i test the 75 a fuse with it and its good
