ka24de butterfly valve diaphragm

So I want to hot tank my intake manifold and heard that I should take the diaphragm out. Will It be safe to hot tank it with the diaphragm or do I have remove the butterfly valve to take it off. I also want to clean my butterfly valve.

Did. All that came up were removing the butterflies removing intake manifold and some other random crap

the danger is the diaphram tearing from stretching in the hot tank.. you can risk it.. but its not that hard to take off
