So myplastic heatercore necks started leaking on my S13 and they are not available seperate.....but they are sold seperate for S14s...does anyone know if the S14 heatercore plastic necks bolt up to the S13 heatercore and line up to the firewall properly?

You can always weld on an aluminum pipe to replace that plastic crap.

The s14 has two seperate plastic necks that bolt up to the heatercore, but the s13 one its like plastic endtanks on an oem radiator and are not removable.
I can take some pics tomorrow to show the differences

why not just replace the heater core?
why ghetto rig a part instead of just getting a new one???
They're like $35

How much could you possibly save by buying s14 ones and using em on your s13 anyways? Is it that much of a headache to just save up the whopping THIRTY-FIVE dollars for the correct part? (if the answer is yes, please sell your car and buy a bicycle)

^^^Only reason I'd see people ghetto rigging it would be the sheer laziness to pull the dash.

Brndck...i got quoted $150....im not trying to ghetto rig anything... it was a simple question... if u google images S13 heatercore and S14 heatercore they look similar...so it was worth asking a simple question... i thought thats what forums are were for...not just to go around talking crap calling people cheap...

Well, three seconds on google shows that a new core is $35.
Any one who is not mechanically adept enough to replace one should find a new hobby.
If you don't have the space to work on a car that's one thing, but
I still don't understand how if it's $150 at a shop for a new core installed, why would it be cheaper/better to use an s14 one? Either way you would still have to remove the old one to access the Neck.

Yeah. It's very sad that this forum is now a place for people too lazy to google things first, or use the fucking search button.

You're a Nissan tech? What dealer? Remind me NEVER to go there.

Again I'll ask, where is the logic in trying to replace an s13 part that is only $35 with an s14 part? Either way youll have to remove the dash to replace it. If you're stupid enough to buy one from the dealer for $150, you deserve it.
