I'm not really sure what has happened to my SR20 but here goes. I put in a 20W-50 oil in because the hot weather is soon coming and my friend told me he read it was recommended. I put that in on Saturday. It ran fine through the weekend. On Monday it started making a whirring noise every time I gave it throttle for a while then it would stop. Then through the rest of the week it was fine, until Friday. I was going back to work when it made the whirring sound again, then it started to lose power and have a rumbling sound kinda like a muscle car sound in the exhaust. Now it is starting to backfire in the engine. What are a few things that could have happened? I think it might be the exhaust cam. It was a little warped when I got my engine but it always ran fine.
