Check your brake fluid. There's a little sensor on the reservoir, if your fluid is low the light will stay on.
Sounds dumb but my brother just had this problem, we put brake fluid in and problem fixed!

Well, when you say brake light is on, are you talking about the brake light on the dash or your brake lights in the tail lights staying on?

Hes talking about the one on the dash.

It can only be 3 things.

Low brake fluid
E brake ground
or pressure differential valve is done for. (highly doubt this one)

Or the brake fluid reservoir sensor is fritzing. Sometimes floater will get stuck, knock the reservoir and see if the floater is stuck. As far as the e-brake, the wire could also be grounding out somewhere, not necessarily at the bottom of the handle.

When the handle is down, it pushes on a this switch and basically breaks the connection. When its up, the switch is on and the connection is grounded. That wire could be broke and grounding out somewhere between the handle and cluster.

Easy way to tell if its the ebrake or the bmc is to pull the plug at the bmc.

If the light stays on then its your ebrake .
If it turns off then its the bmc.
