My blacktop SR is up and running, the idle isnt perfect but its firing on all 4. my problem is, when I press down on the clutch pedal, even gently, i get a loud whistle sound. It gets louder the harder I press down and after about 3/4 to the floor the engine totally stalls. the whistle sound seems to be coming from the intake side of them motor but i cant tell for sure. What else can I test to see whats going on? Oil pressure is normal, vacuum reading is normal, rpm around 900 at idle. Thanks

Sounds like your throw-out bearing is completely siezed... or some other catastrophe inside the bell housing going on.

your in full boost, uninstall your vtec solenoid.

on the real, check for vac leaks before dropping your trans. get a can of carb clean and spray everything including your intake manifold. i had the same problem and it turned out to be a bad intake manifold gasket.

so for anyone that comes across this, one of my less experienced friends installed my throw out bearing backwards :P
