I have a question about advancing the timing. I know you can adjust the timing by twisting the distributer and by changing it the old fashion way. I didn't feel like unplugging the TPS, so I twisted the distribter so the bolt sat forward in the bracket(Towards the radiater). I planned on advancing my timing by 2-3 degrees. Does anyone know if they both have basically the same effect. After I moved it up it felt much better at higher RPM's, took a second off up to 80. I clocked it 3 times before, and 3 times after. Does anyone know how much degrees it would be comparable to, I moved it from about 2/3 to 1/3 of the bracket.

so you like blown motors eh? i'd hate to see the rest of your car if you're too lazy to use a timing light to change your timing :tweak:

I just moved it marginally but, I know that it pulls harder to 6500. Also took a second off up to 80, checked it 3 times before and 3 after. No knocking, and Ive always kept 93 in it. Ill be checking it next week again when I have another few hours open.
