exactly what makes ob2 different from obd1? intake manifold and what else? i thought it consisted of different wiring and ecu also but i didn't know anything else einvolved. doesn't ob2 have 2 o2 sensors on the exhaust manifold also?

if you drop in an obd2 enginee and want to convert an sohc car or pre96 to obd1 are all the aiv valves, egr, and carbon canister is necessary to pass smog. to pass visual do you just need to make it sure everything from ob1 is there or everything from ob2 is there. im trying to go ob1 on an sohc

"im trying to go obd1 on an soch" you wont have any problems... you answered ur own question, 89-95 is obd1 some late 95's were obd-ii, 95's are all obd-ii compatable but obd-ii was officially released in all motors in 96 in the us. Most of ur questions have been answered on the various forums. i know since ive taken part in most all of them

well. i think obd1 is just easier to get around smog since you dont need a computer wire plugged into your ecu for a diagnostic.
